LOST WAX CASTING TECHNIQUE
BRONZE STATUES/ MAKING
The technique of lost wax casting allows a preliminary work in malleable material before engaging into the complex and costly wonderful process of turning the creation into metal - and completing it afterward - polishing, texturing, patinas works… Commission works are dialogues of co-creation, rooted in centuries of practice. The process itself, engaging hand-shaped and carved wax, clay, oven fire, red hot liquid metal, and finally, the treatments of hard cold metal, both physical and chemical, is a complete and powerful Human experience. It is a real and complex transformation towards beauty.

As much as welding triggers the Yang spirit of the artist, with the workshop almost military environment, tools and techniques, casting metal, from warm wax, invites her Yin spirit, of soft, delicate and so called feminine shapes.
